Artist, expressionist (👋♊️), flower spirit, life-schooling mama, deeply devoted wife, and consciousness explorer living her wildest dreams in heaven on earth Hawaii.

I am completely devoted to the conscious creation of my reality; to living a life filled with creativity, sensuality, vitality, abundance, and the most deeply transformative love; to claiming radical freedom, ecstatic aliveness, and wildly embodied authenticity.

My state of being is my most important creation ~ it’s the wellspring from which all joy, love, and fulfillment are sourced. It has taken so much consciousness, courage, and conviction to create the inner experience that I desire… so much healing and transformation… so much hard-earned wisdom. And when I look around at the magical, abundant life that my husband Pat and I have created together, it makes me so deeply proud because I know everything around us is a reflection of what’s going on inside.

I grew up in an extremely unconventional, creative, free-spirited family. We were artistic and unique and really good at letting our freak flag fly. The adults in my life brought creativity, brilliance, and play to everything they did. They lived totally outside the box. This is how I was raised, and how the value of freedom was solidified for me.

Now I’m an adult with my own family, and freedom is one of our single most most important values. To us it means having the power (and the courage!) to think, act and live however we choose, according to our deepest values and desires. Freedom means reclaiming our inner guidance system from external forces (society, schooling, familial expectations, conditioning, etc) and having the courage to follow it unconditionally into the life we were born to live.

Our measure of success as a family isn’t money or status or grades or stamps of approval from the outside — our measure of success is how much freedom we can create in our lives. Time freedom, location freedom, financial freedom, educational freedom, health freedom, emotional freedom, the freedom to express ourselves in our own wild + weird + wonderful ways. Freedom to do life our own way with a respectful but profound disregard for what anyone else is doing, or what anyone else might think. 

And to me, there is no greater expression of one’s freedom than creation. Art isn’t just something we do on canvas, or with clay, or on a typewriter. It is how we choose to experience life itself. We paint our world with our thoughts, feelings, and choices. Being an artist just means you do it on purpose.

My journey with art has been a practice of getting beyond my conditioning to the truth and authenticity of my being. I’ve come to know the ego as a very valuable little recorder — its job is to store data, identify patterns, make predictions based on threat-mitigation, and seek predictability. But the Truth of our Being is a live stream that can’t be controlled, captured, or accumulated — it must be both channeled and let go in real time. Letting go of ourselves in order to create space for something new and alive to flow through is terrifying to the ego and ecstatic for the soul (that’s usually how you know you’re on the right track).

The older I get, the more I realize that surrender is the only way to truly get free. We have to get beyond all of the identity constructs we’ve created (belief systems, stories, fears, attachments, resistances, preferences) and out into a vaster field of potentials. Freedom is simply the range of motion we have in our lives. The more possibilities we can access (and they are truly infinite), the freer we are.

I’ve sacrificed myself on the altar of growth over and over again in my life. But perhaps never so profoundly as when I chose to become a mother at the age of 19. This was one of those courageous “leap without looking” moments, where you let God take the wheel and choose to say yes with your whole being. It was unplanned, unexpected, and totally terrifying — and yet it was the most radically life-altering blessing Pat and I ever could have received. It solidified our values and visions at an incredibly young age. It bound us — irrevocably — to love, family, and never-ending personal growth. Without even meaning to, we were gifted an incredible head start on building our lives around what matters most.

Pat and I have been deeply in love for over 22 years, and that love has only continued to grow more expansive, sacred, and true. It’s the thing I am most proud of, and most in awe about in my life — and it’s the most important. Because nothing, and I mean nothing, is more important than love, and the work of softening each and every one of our resistances to it. It’s the core curriculum of human life on earth. It’s the only real game in town, and Pat and I have gotten really good at understanding how to play it. Our love is the energetic source of everything that we are, and everything that we are becoming. It’s the electricity that powers our entire lives, and the magnet that draws our deepest desires and wildest dreams into reality.

In 2012 we exited the matrix as a family and never looked back. We got to work on building a truly sovereign and soul-centered life. We began homeschooling, which really just meant that we began fully pursuing and creating our most fulfilling lives together as a family — outside the system, on our own terms. I mean, what else is life for but experiencing existence as deeply and meaningfully as we’re able, and contributing the absolute best that’s within us? And what else should education be for but preparing our children to do exactly that? Knowing how to create an extraordinary fulfilling life is the only skill that really matters in the end.

We’re at our best as a family when we feel FREE ::
Wandering in the wild, sleeping under the stars, making art, swimming far out to sea to play with the dolphins, sunbathing naked, blasting music and lighting incense, chasing rainbows, getting high on life, moving and grooving with our bodies, climbing mountains, ugly belly laughing, planting seeds, spreading love, becoming more and more who we truly are, connecting deeply, exploring the magical side of life + consciousness, and taking courageous leaps into the unknown.

There is nothing more important than that we feel good being who we are! Because we cannot guide ourselves using anyone else’s criteria, and our own criteria is the way we feel.

The better we feel, the more we know we’re moving in the right direction, inhabiting the very best of who we are, getting beyond our conditioning, and fulfilling the ultimate meaning of our existence.

This is my wish for every human being — and it’s the intention behind everything I create.
